500,000 People and No One Called Me?
Funny yet thoughtful article from 2006 by Joel Stein after the large marches across the country including the 500,000 people march in LA. I picked this because if you weren't part of the Latino community yet supported migrants rights, you weren't notified of the marches until they hit the national television channels. Latino groups do a great job but non-Latino immigrants and supporters need to become more active in helping to bring attention to the plight of migrants.
Stein was also brave enough to have lunch with Tom Tancredo (our favorite person in the world). Click here to read about that experience.
