Scumbag of the Week - John Derbyshire

John Derbyshire is an immigration hardliner who has regularly vilified undocumented immigrants, particularly those from Mexico and other Hispanic countries in the National Review.

A typical comment consists of:

"hordes of Central Americans pouring into our country."

Derbyshire has also expressed this sentiment:

"Impose draconian penalties on visa overstayers, including lifetime exclusion from the U.S.''

Get this, this piece of work was an undocumented immigrant who overstayed his visa by 5 years. I say if we are going to implement his policies, let's start with this ungrateful asshole. Kick him out and see how he likes it. If he self-deports and doesn't mind being separated from his family and never seeing his home again, then maybe I'll take his proposals more seriously.

Here he is bragging about his years as an undocumented immigrant, he seems rather proud. I guess it's only the brown kind of undocumented immigrants he hates. Just in case you have any lingering notions that this guy is anything but the scum of the earth read this quote:

"The U.S.A. was born with two race problems: the African Americans and the Native Americans. We struggle with those problems still, and must continue to struggle. Would it be wise to import a new one? "

I refuse to link to the National Review for paying this asshole to write this crap. Go to the comments section of this post and copy and paste the urls if you think I'm making this up.

This is what one nativist had to say about President Elect Obama who they claim is not a natural born citizen and how he should be dealt with. Notice the talk of an upcoming civil war, it's a common belief held by many white supremacists that there will be a race war. Yes, and the organization that this person belongs to claims to be one of the moderate voices in the nativist movement. The sad part is, they're right.

Teens Targeted Hispanics in Long Island Hate Killing

In front of a courtroom at times crowded with family members of seven teens accused in a fatal hate crime stabbing, a Suffolk prosecutor Monday said the group was "determined" to find a victim of Hispanic descent.

"In their own words, 'Let's go find some Mexicans to -- -- up,' " said Assistant District Attorney Nancy Clifford at First District Court in Central Islip.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident but a national phenomenon. Anti-Latino hate crimes rose by almost 35% between 2003 and 2006. As I reported before, hate groups increased by half since the year 2000 and the number of new anti-immigrant groups increased to 300.

White Supremacists Going Mainstream

Don Black at his home, I know it's scary how normal looking it is.

This is what one supremacists had to say:
"And now this immigrant thing in the past couple of years has been the biggest boon to us," Schoep says. "The immigration issue is the biggest problem we're facing because it's changing the face of our country. We see stuff in English and Spanish. … They are turning our country into a Third World ghetto."

Don Black, once a Ku Klux Klan leader in Alabama, says he's encouraged by the enthusiasm he sees.Black's son, Derek, 19, was elected to the Palm Beach County, Fla., Republican committee in August. Local Republican leaders are trying to unseat him after learning of his white supremacist ties.

Hispanics, Asians, and African Americans are underrepresented in your district. The majority of these are probalby U.S. citizens, a tiny number are probably documented immigrants, and a small handful at most are undocumented immigrants. So why has he devoted his career to a problem that does not affect his district in the least?

Dangerous Hate - Part 2

The anti-immigration "activist" from the Dangerous Hate Post (below this post) who was caught illegally stockpiling weapons and making threats was finally released after several months in jail I'm still looking into finding out what he was finally convicted of what he was managed to wiggle his way out of.

However, the Watchman from ALIPAC.net was able to find this record of arrest from several years ago for the same individual..

"Arrested were Randy Dees a 52 year old Rodeo resident for 245 PC, assault with a deadly weapon and David Parsons a 30 year old Fairfield resident for 245 PC assault with a deadly weapon, 273 (a) PC, child endangerment and 288 (a)(1) PC lewd act on a child."

To think in anti-immigration circles, this guy is a hero. I've never been more disgusted.

Dangerous Hate

A while back I heard of an anti-immigration "activist" from the hate group Save Our State being arrested for domestic terrorism. I was shocked, not because I was surprised it came to this but because an arrest was actually made. It is not uncommon to see people encouraging others to take arms and start shooting "illegals". Beyond the homicidal intentions surrounding these statements, I'm still confounded as to how they know if someone is undocumented or not.

Well one of them was arrested on domestic terrorism charges late last year and is currently in jail. He still has not had his day in court yet so I'm going to hold off putting up his name until then. However ALIPAC.net put up a link to an anti-immigration blog that highlights how despite arrests being made, the anti-immigration community still does not see why threatening violence is a serious matter, especially on a population that cannot seek help from the authorities. This case however seems to involve specific threats to the ACLU. The blogger writes

"I don’t want to thwart Randy’s legal defense in any way so I’m not going to repeat what it is he is alleged to have written on the message board. But I will tell you that it wasn’t anything more serious than we have all read on the Internet many times before. Some of you may have written something similar. You could be sitting in jail right now too."

To those of you who don't frequent many anti-immigration sites, the people who visit those tend to believe the only to deal with immigrants is through violence and a "war". I used to dismiss these people as lunatics but in the last few years they are now the majority on a lot of these sites.

Crazies

The thing I find the hardest to believe about the anti-immigration crowd is how people can possibly take them seriously. Check out my scumbag and crazies tags for their "antics". The latest of which is an uproar over a vodka ad. That's right a vodka ad.

Here's a quote from one of the antis.

This quote is real and most of the antis agree with this idea that there is going to be a war between Mexico and the U.S. (could they be more our of touch with reality?). I say let's institutionalize these people for general public safety before they start shooting random brown skinned people in the streets. The feds already nabbed one of them who was stockpiling weapons.

I think we should all acknowledge the supreme court ruling that reaffirmed birth right citizenship. This has been vital in fighting racism and xenophobia that has run rampant in American History. Click here for more information on the case.

Scumbag of the Week - "Buffalo" Rick Galeener

Virulent racist and noted Yosemite Sam impersonator "Buffalo" Rick Galeener got popped today for allegedly peeing into a plastic bottle nearby the Macehualli Work Center, where he and fellow members of local hate group United for a Sovereign America have been protesting just about every day since the beginning of the year. Always a class act, Galeener allegedly enjoyed the pause that refreshes beside his truck, which was parked in front of Paulita Cortes' house.

According to Sgt. Brian Murray of the PHX PD's Community Relations Bureau, Galeener was cited and released for indecent exposure, a class 1 misdemeanor, which carries a potential fine of $2,500 and possible punishment of six months in jail. According to Murray, buffalo chip copped to taking a whiz, but the unkempt xenophobe insisted he was in his car doing it, not out in the open. Murray pointed out that whether or not Galeener was urinating inside or outside of his vehicle was irrelevant to the actual charge.

Now replace every time they say "Mexican" with the word "Illegal "and compare to what one typically finds on anti-immigration websites. Most of us already know that the code word for Hispanic for many nativists is "illegal" and the code word for white is "American". Nativists can use any euphemisms they like, they're still racists/bigots just like the people in the documentary.

Scumbag of the Week - Rusty Childress

Rusty Childress, 42 - a wealthy auto dealer

Phoenix, Ariz.

As President of United for Sovereign America, Childress presides over weekly anti-immigration summits at his Kia car dealership. Past speakers have included Glenn Spencer, founder of the hate group American Border Patrol; John Watson of White Knights of America; neo-Nazi J.T. Ready, who equates Mexican immigrants to "fleas fleeing a dead dog which they sucked dry"; and state legislator Russell Pearce, who infamously forwarded an E-mail from the neo-Nazi group National Alliance to his supporters in 2006.

That was the year that Childress founded the anti-immigrant biker gang American Freedom Riders, which harasses day laborers in the Phoenix area. But he was ousted from his own group later that year after members raised questions about the immigration status of Latinos spotted washing cars and performing janitorial duties on Childress' dealership lot. That didn't sit well with the nativist bikers, and they gave him the boot.

Childress went on to form a knockoff biker gang, Riders USA, with a nearly identical logo, though he continued to represent himself to the media as the spokesperson for AFR, much to the irritation of his former allies. "The magic of the American Freedom Riders is that as bikers we have no pretense about being politically correct," Childress wrote in a letter to the editor published last December. "We are profoundly anti-illegal immigration, down to our biker bones, and not one rationalization will detract us from our zero-tolerance."

I laughed so hard it hurt. Am I the only one who finds this ridiculous? Who in their right mind takes these people seriously?

Yes and segregationists were never attracted to black women.

Strom Thurmond's illegitimate black daughter has only nice things to say about her father. Does that not make him a bigot for running on as segregationist platform for the presidency? My Favorite scumbag of the moment John Derbyshire is also married to an Asian woman. Tell me he's not a bigot. Lou Dobbs wife is Hispanic and you tell me with a straight face he doesn't have it out for Hispanic culture. Mitt Romney's family used to be undocumented immigrants in Mexico and look at his immigration position now. Check out my self hate tag for people who used to be undocumented immigrants who now are responsible for the hate towards undocumented immigrants.

By the way, Lou Dobbs is married to a woman who disowns her Hispanic heritage.Don't get me wrong, that was her choice and who am I to judge. The only part of my heritage I still practice is eating the food. The difference between me and Debi is I don't hate my heritage or people who still speak the language, practice the religion or anything else I myself don't take part in.

Debi is just like Lou in her bigotry. Skin color is superficial and easy to accept, true tolerance occurs when you accept someone who is different from you socially and culturally. Debi may have the skin color as a someone who is culturally Hispanic but that doesn't mean she is really Hispanic. So Lou, you are still a bigot.

* To be fair Debi has more than a few screws loose, she was arrested for attempting to secretly bring a gun onto an airplane. Lou probably thinks all Hispanics are this crazy.

Scumbag of the Week - David Vitter

Senator David Vitter of Louisiana is a strong opponent of "amnesty". I don't think Vitter understands the definition of the word.

Amnesty : a period during which offenders are exempt from punishment

Vitter claimed the DREAM Act was amnesty and that it would reward criminal behavior.
The DREAM Act would have allowed innocent children who through no choice of their own became undocumented immigrants to become documented. Many of these children do not even know they are undocumented. They committed no crime yet face the punishment such as Jail while being held in detention or worse yet deportation to a country they haven't seen since they were toddlers with decade to lifetime bans on re-entering the U.S., the only country they have ever known.

I think it's safe to assume a toddler who is carried across the border or a 5 year old who overstays his visa is innocent. They most likely had no idea what was happening and even if they did, they have no say over the action. Yet David Vitter keeps referring to these kids as criminals. Unauthorized presence in the U.S. is not a crime, and crossing the border as a child is not a crime. Under no definition of the criminal justice system are these children guilty, yet they face the punishment and jail time in detention facilitates which are known to sexually and physically abuse minors.

David Vitter on the other hand is guilty of knowingly committing an actual crime. Sexually exploiting a woman, using the "services" of a prostitute is a crime (not to mention morally despicable). Yet Vitter was amnestied for his crime. Prostitution has a statute of limitations. If we can give amnesty to a criminal such as Vitter, I think he should find it in his heart to give it to innocent children who aren't guiltily of any crimes.

Tell Vitter you are opposed to amnesty, especially for men who violate prostitution laws and that your tax dollars shouldn't be going to these criminals.

This is the story of Morgan an undocumented immigrant from Canada. Go on read the story and laugh, it's pretty funny. But never forget that Morgan is not typical. He gives undocumented immigrants a bad name. Unlike most undocumented immigrants, he does not pay taxes, repeatedly crosses the border, and has a general ambivalence towards the United States. He does not want to provide a better life for his family or even himself. He is exactly what the anti-immigration crowd likes to point to when they start spewing their hate except they seem to be tolerating him because he a white Canadian. Check out the discussion on the hypocrisy of the anti-immigration groups over at ALIPAC.net . They find Morgan more acceptable than say Dr.Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa. The same anti-immigration site tolerating Morgan wanted Alfredo gone. Not about race eh?

In all fairness, Morgan's a good guy and the first to admit that he doesn't compare to the immigrants who come here looking for a better life. He also acknowledges the racism behind people's acceptance of him but not his brown skinned counterparts as yet another sign that this country isn't as colorblind as it likes to think it is.

Judge Receives Threats For Immigration Related Ruling

If you troll the anti-immigration sites, you know a lot of these people are missing a few screws. Case in point, one of them is currently sitting in jail for threats he made to the ACLU. So I'm not particularly surprised this happened.

A Westbury Village justice wants courtroom security beefed up because of the hate mail and "crazy" e-mails he has received since he dismissed a driving without a license charge against an undocumented immigrant.

One note - posted at freerepublic.com - suggests, "Let's hire an AIDS-infected hooker ... male for [the judge's] daughter ... female for his son ... and let he/she/them be infected with AIDS, so he can rule in hopes of opening up another dialogue on the suffering in Africa."

"I have gotten some bizarre communication," said Justice Thomas Liotti, who in a written decision last week asked for a metal detector and court officers either outside or inside the courtroom. "This is crazy - absolute nonsense.
"We need security in our village courts. Otherwise, we could fall victim to some of these nuts who want to take matters into their owns hands," Liotti added.

The country got fed up by the government never being able to solve the problem until Uncle Adolf came into power. There was a " final solution " as you know. The Germans offered many countries to take the Jews prior to the War. The US, Canada, Great Britain .. all refused .

So .. they had millions of " rats " in their country .. much the same as we have today with greasers .

At the Nuremberg trials on war crime at the end of the war .. Herman Goehring, commander of the Luftwaffe said to a journalist ... " why do you want to punish the rat-trapper for trapping the rats ? " ..

We'll understand in years how the Nazi did that, and why .. right here in the US .. it hasn't gotten that far out of control yet .

Not saying it is right to exterminate 7 million Jews .. I don't condone that. It's just an example of what happens to a country that is fed up with immigrants that won't leave ..

I love my state of Texas .. but it is drowning in corruption, greed and greasers .. There's only 1 solution ..
